Just a bit of fun - music bands from back home

So what are the singers or bands from 'back home' wherever that is?

For me, Leicester, here is my little list:

The Dallas Boys (50s and 60s)
Engelbert Humperdink (50s and 60s)
Showaddywaddy (70s)
Cornershop (80s) (what happened to them- loved a brimful of asher (sp?)
Kasabian 90s to now

Ooh.. I'd forgotten about Live it Up. And Jessie's Girl has the best (and possibly only) use of "moot" in a lyric, ever...

Australia's a big place... Perth is as far from Sydney (my home town) as London is from Damascus.

Nick Cave -- countryside Victoria/Melbourne
Tame Impala -- Perth
Wolf Mother -- lol
Kylie Minogue -- Melbourne, and lol
The Go Betweens -- Brisbane
The Triffids -- Perth
The Birthday Party -- Melbourne (obviously, see Nick Cave)
But if you want yet another cool band from Sydney (in addition to all those I listed before, like the Rolf), I present you: The Cruel Sea. And The Church. And The Party Boys.

Keep them coming. BTW adding 'town' to the list would be great.

Tom, Pink Floyd was one of my favourite groups at the time I arrive in UK - where did they come from?
