free cancellation policy

Last December we booked on Booking.com a nice apparment in Barcelona with free cancellation. After cancelled within the time-line, we expected the pre-payment to be transfered to our credit Card. Now, after many e-mails sent to booking, after one time calling the manager in Barcelona, we still are wating for our money. A never ending Story.

Re: free cancellation policy

Easy, tell them either refund to CC within 7 days or you will start small claims court proceedings in the UK. That normally gets them moving quite quickly.

Re: free cancellation policy

Even easier. Refer the case to your credit card company. You'll get the refund directly from the cc company, and they'll chase booking.com for you.

Exactly.

There is also a Swiss law that if the goods are not delivered within 6 months, you can demand your money back. This law applies to all credit cards issued by Swiss banks.

The OP is not ordering 'goods' to be delivered, so it's totally irrelevant.

Re: free cancellation policy

Thanks for every one gave me nice ideas or suggestion here today!

I am still waiting my pre-payment back to my Chinese credit card...I already get tired for this situaton!

It already past complete one month after my cancellation from Booking, with many times email to ask even to push, now I only got many times apologize from Booking service...As they sent me email last week, I just need to wait for a couple of days...

I have been suffering from this kind of free cancellation from Booking too much...
