| | | How to cure insomnia?
Hi folks,
I got suffering from insomnia, and I don't know why, sleeping pill even doesn't work for me. I am so deperated at night and staying awake, so torturing...., when I am just feeling like sleeping, then it is time for work, then I have to get up....
Any advice?

I have seen it several years ago, but believe me, there is nothing in comment compare with Fight Club.

Get outside and do some sport. Ride a bike for a few hours. The combination of physical activity and fresh air should be a big help.

Any advice? | | | | | I get this from time to time, though less so nowadays.
I used to get it after travelling, flying etc, as I find it quite stressfull, would be up for days on end. It was one of the reasons I changed jobs, however, doubt you need to be so drastic.
Here are some tips I've heard over the years.
Try not to have a large meal in the evening, or make sure you eat early in the evening and give plenty of time to digest.
Alcohol isn't always a good idea. Herbal teas are good.
Exercise, but not before going to bed, give yourself time to wind down.
Remove distractions from the bedroom, get rid of the TV if you have one.
Try to keep a regular routine, set yourself a bedtime.
If you can't sleep, stressing about it is the worse thing to do, read a book.
When it got really bad, I would sometimes just go out and get blind drunk, nobody would advise that, it's no solution.

It happened last year, then I changed my bed, then it was getting better.
Does medicine help? but not sleeping pill.

Here's my personal Snooze Improvement Program: - Get up at 7 AM every morning
- No naps during the day – ever
- No coffee after 5 PM
- No heavy dinner or exercise after 7 PM
- Max. 1 glass of C2H5OH in the evening
- Go to bed at 11 PM every night
- No TV in the bedroom / after 10:30 PM
Probably works better when adhered to. YMMV.

Does medicine help? but not sleeping pill. | | | | | Valerian ("Baldrian") is a herbal remedy that is available here and is known to help.

Barbra. | | | | | It is even more torturing when you are hearing somebody else was sleeping, then you want to kill him...... so jealous.

A standard disclaimer, meaning that even though you follow the recipe, you may end up with different results. An acronym commonly used on forums such as this one. Others include LOL, ROTFL or IMHO.

YMMV = your mileage may vary = it may work differently in your situation, or your situation may be different from this.

Flying will be limited to armchair / MSFS and occassional trips to the Estados Unidos.
But I agree, nothing more tiring (and elating) than trips around the pattern or shooting multiple NDB or BC LOC approaches under the hood. |

If you have long-term insomnia, I would say no caffeine after 1pm.
Furthermore, you could go to the store and get Celestial Seasonings
Sleepy Time Tea. They have it at Migros and Coop. It has Chamomile
in it which helps you relax.
Or you could just try Chamomile tea( Kamillentee in German ).
Cheers,
Grant

Warm milk with honey and a few bits of saffron. When my husband can't sleep, it seems to work well.
Along with the other excellent advice you've received....I think trying to keep to a regular schedule, sleep in a cool, dark room, and don't read or watch TV in bed are also advised.
