5 of your Favourite songs?

If you had to pick 5 of your favourite songs what would they be? It is difficult to choose as everyone has so many and for all sorts of reasons and not always because it is a good song just might remind you of a time or place.. so please give it a go, curious to hear what your favourite songs are.

Not necessarily in this order:
Glen Campbell "Lines man for the county" dunno just really really love it
The Blue Nile "Tinsel town in the rain" college music great song
Judy Tzuke "Stay with me till Dawn" teenager, romance n' stuff
GoldFrapp "Caravan Girl" this year's music that's great
Bob Dylan "Mozambique".. and Brian Terfel's "Shenandoah"

..so difficult to just pick 5.

Re: 5 of your Favourite songs?

oh boy! I can not chose my BEST 5...but also am scared to put up my best 5...as it might just reveal my age?
now I have to open my Itunes, as I do not know song names etc..
Maybe make the criteria a bit wider..
Listen anyday: songs of madonna, ANY rave cd, African - Ismael Lo

Golden oldies: Julio Iglesias - Crazy, Neil diamond (), Does Boney M count for Xmas?, Annie Lenox

New(er songs)?? - Bryan adams, Coldplay, Dido, Michael learns to rock (my best!!), Anastacia,Kelly Clarkson

Oh...just to many really, can not decide on 5!

Re: 5 of your Favourite songs?

Bobby Womack "Across 110th Street"
Alabama 3 " Woke Up this Morning"
Linkin' Park "Leave out all the Rest"
The Chemical Brothers "Galvanize"
George Gershwin "Summertime"

and many others... but if I had to choose, then those would be my favourites.

Re: 5 of your Favourite songs?

I know it is really difficult.. I haven't mentioned Bowie,The Smiths, Neil Young, Cohen, springsteen, Nick Cave not to mention I've got a soft spot for Dolly's Jolene I could go on and on(irish folk music crikey I'd be here all day and night) that's why choosing 5 is good you have to really think..

and yeah I'm ancient too and proud.. walking frames are cool

Je te vois venir (tu pars)
Francis Cabrel

See The Sun
Dido

L'incendie
Vanessa Paradis

Oublie moi
Shy'm

Disturbia
Rihanna

What I have been truly hooked on for the past 2 years is, is the Soundtrack of the old movie, CAL.
Mark Knopfler has done a fantastic job on that one !!!

Re: 5 of your Favourite songs?

Probably for an all time top five I would have to include:

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Genesis - Ripples
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Eagles - Hotel California

At times, the mood can change and the top five could include things like:

Lily Allen - Smile
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
All Saints - Pure Shores
Neil Diamond - I Am, I Said
Free - Wishing Well
