In related news, Caprica (prequel to Battlestar Galactica) in back on after its pilot last year. Addresses some of these interesting issues.
Unfortunately, Daniel Graystone is a fictional character, so I can't do anything about him. But EPFL is just down the road, if you know what I mean.

Re: The Robot Apocalypse is closer than you think

Meet your future flying robot overlord.

Quote:
The Taranis, revealed today in the U.K., joins other stealth UAVs into development. Part of a British initiative for the Ministry of Defense, the first Taranis built looks eerily like a Cylon Raider from Battlestar Gallactica, and the plan is to give it advanced autonomous abilities so it can think for itself. Before you start fearing a Skynet future, BAE is quick to point out "Should such systems enter into service, they will at all times be under the control of highly trained military crews on the ground."
Yeah, right.

I for one etc.

How about an undercover spy robot complete with boobs to infiltrate government spy rings? That would be cool . They could buy houses and raise little unsuspecting robo kiddies....

Clearly Switzerland needs to work on its competitive advantage, that is humanoids devoid of emotion, and further develop artificial intelligence to compensate our lack of numbers, after all, how else could we conquer the world ? Go mad scientists at EFPL, you have my full support!

I used to work next to the SKYNET project building, I went in there once to play with the Mars rover, it is a massive building with no windows.
