| Doing events in Switzerland - good ways to bring in money/make popular stuff
Hey guys, I've moved from London to Biel
Everyday I go to the gym and when I come out I see this group of street dancers with their boombox dancing, then some days there are more and people just stand by watching them
I had a little idea - as this town I'm in is pretty small, 50'000 population for example
I was thinking of seeing if I could organize a one-off event - if it's a success, never know, could easily do more but for now, just want to do a one-off one
Most of these people are like 16 - 21 aged. I was thinking of giving a prize like...say $3k to the winner
Teams of 4
I spread it on Facebook, through some of the local guys here, the local colleges that you have to make up teams of 4 then you have head-offs
Winning team wins $3k cash
Make it all **** hot with some really cool off the wall advertising, posters around the city. Get local guys on their skateboards and skates to just go and plaster this whole like it. Loads of skaters over here and graffiti types over here ;p

Now location, I've found a place here. It's an underground club, not sure how many people it holds but I've been there and the layout is perfect. Quite urban feel to it. They'll let me take the premises for around $1k for the night.
To make money, I'm thinking team who want to enter have to pay a REGISTRY fee - so if there are 4 members in each them, they pay $5 each so per team that is $20
Then to enter the club, a fee for a ticket to watch the event for all normal people $10
Now I was thinking of trying to get some advertisers on board, but I'm in a new country, no one knows me, this is the first time something like this is going to go down here, not really sure how to approach local business's - any thoughts?
Any other ideas I could generate some income from this to cover my costs?
I want to cover it on Youtube / Facebook ... the works! I do graphic design so all marketing material like posters/website I can handle all
You got any ideas how I could make money or approach business's with an idea like this? It's going to be like a Talent Show for the local area.
