Re: Song of the day

never had less doubt in my life about anything:
Bone Machine: opening song for Surfer Rosa (Pixies)

Opening your debut album with the tightest drums ever, and then add the bass. Only an eighties genius can come up with that idea.

Re: Song of the day

One of the bands who sit in the list of "Best bands I've never seen live...". Was going to put up "...oily stage" earlier on, but I thought it would have been greedy to bag all the best ones

I was going to put up oily stage too but then i thought why not put up one from their new album and this is my fave at the moment

Ditto also on band I'd really like to see, still not got CH on their gig list, Munich seems to be the nearest at the moment

I love BSP!

Saw them at some Ben and Jerry's thing on Clapham Common and they were fantastic. Not a charismatic bunch on stage but musically, they are fooking ace live. Can't wait to get the new album!!

I'm also really looking forward to the third offering from the Futureheads - they said it would be more like the first in terms of fun and quirky songs

Re: Song of the day

^ I was always more of a Maximo Park fan than the Futureheads, must confess.

This could run and run so I'm just going to add a few more

Air - La Femme D'Argent (Moon Safari)

The Dandy Warhols - Godless (13 Tales From Urban Bohemia)

We Are Scientists (With Love and Squalor)

That's what I'm here for

Have a peek on YouTube for them. The first song I heard by them, Acrylic, I really liked and have kept an eye out for them since. They have an old school indie feel to them.

Really liking this lot too - The Young Knives

Terra Firma (new single is called Up All Night but it's not up on YouTube yet)

and this is I Found Out by The Pigeon Detectives (love this video, has nothing to do with the song really but it's fun!)
