The 10% discount is a joke, if you ask me. | | | | | Ugh, I hate losing my number, so that's a no no. Don't swisscom have a scheme to steal you from other companies contracts? Might be worth looking into.

Has anyone got any more info regarding Orange and Visual Voicemail? I did a google but got nowhere. It seems a bit ominous that they have not announced it...
iPhone 3G and Orange: Is Visual Voicemail included?
Unknown at this point.

He said he's going to raise the case with his managers to see if they can offer anything, if not I'll leave.
Pretty bad practice from Orange really, they'll loose somebody who might be (i would have been) a good customer for many years over the sake of a few hundred chf.

I am in a similar situation. The fact that I already currently have orangeclick means that I can't order online on July 9th and keep my number. If I would have had any other provider, even prepaid, it wouldn't be a problem.
I sent an e-mail to Orange customer support, and they said my only option is to huddle outside an Orange store come Friday like a common peasant.

I quote from the link you gave: To avoid any confusion let me clarify that I am talking about just voicemail here and not visual voicemail and this article is for those who've unlocked their iPhone and have a non-functioning Voicemail button as just voicemail seems to work out of the box for some carriers like T-mobile. Without the visual voicemail software/server on the carrier side and the feature provisioned to your mobile number you can't have visual voicemail. Here's hoping Orange have done the necessary.

Sorry, might have missed it, as I've only seen offers with contract, what will be the price of the phone without contract, as offered by Orange?

I just wrote to orange, asked them how much it will be to cancel my current contract, also asked them why they chose to give existing customers such a poor deal.

Even if I have 6 months left on the 2 year contract? The b******s, I knew that 2 year plan was a bad idea, but all the phones on the 1 year contracts were sh*t....
That'll teach me.

That'll teach me. | | | | | Just give Orange a call and ask them, they usually can look that up - my wife had to pay 300 Fr. to get out of a 12-month contract (with a bit more than 6 months left)

peter | | | | | The minimum tariff is 25chf/month, so it is often cheaper to just change to the cheaper tariff.

I was thinking 300 chf might just be ok, it's slightly cheaper than getting the discounted phone, plus I get to **** off Orange for not giving me a decent offer.

| | | Re: The iPhone 3G thread and FAQ | Quote: | | | | | Hey,
I just got the following mail from Orange:
Dear Mr XXX,
Now’s your opportunity to be among the first to get your hands on the new iPhone 3G and enjoy the full iPhone experience. As an exclusive welcome gift at Orange, we are opening our e-shop 2 days earlier for you, before our official market launch on 11 July.
All you have to do is choose one of our attractive offers combined with an exclusive iPhone price plan including everything you need to get the most out of this revolutionary mobile phone, iPod and internet device.
[Here comes an image with the table with the offers]
So put the 9 July in your agenda now. But don’t worry, we will be sending you a reminder email with direct access to our iPhone e-shop.
Your iPhone will be shipped as of 11 July. Rest assured that we will be handling your order with priority as stock allows.
Thank you for choosing Orange.
Best regards
Your Orange Team
So I guess in the end I'll go with Optima 30. I am really curious if I get it on the 11th. It seems it pays off the fact that I've filled that form a week ago or so . Also, they might give priority to new customers to Orange (I've never been a customer of them, so they might want to attract me )
I think the 3G network of Orange will have to improve, in order to remain competitive. Before Euro 2008, Swisscom's network was so bad I couldn't even make a call from my workplace in Basel. | | | | | Btw, when u guys applied for iPhone??? And I guess u filled that online registration form available in their site???
I too filled that form 7-8 days back, both @orange as well as @swisscom, but still I havent got any mail from them.
May be they are giving priority to existing customer...coz I don't have any previous contract with orange or swisscom.
