I'm grateful because my chemo is half over, the weather is great and my sister is visiting from the US till the end of April. And we're all hanging out enjoying our terrace on this gorgeous day.

Arrghh enjoy, you so deserve it after all you've been through. And bonne chance for the second part of the treatment.

I'm grateful for the 2 tractor loads of well-rotted manure delivered 2 days ago - and now all over veggie patches, orchard and flower borders not so grateful about the backache, but c'est la vie.

I am grateful for mom coming over, sitting through 14hrs bus drive to hang with us for 2 days.

And then people who are not chewing me up for all those unanswered lovely PMs I got past few weeks, ugh. I will get better with them, promise.

Hahah, I don't mean "work" pms, those I deal with immediately. I mean nice friends I have who understand I get swamped by admin work at times and cannot immediately shoot a pm back the same day, that kinda thing. I will get down to it, though, sure.

Now, aren't you supposed to be choosing a triple salary ring? Planning a big wedding?

Soak up the sun! I am so, so happy that spring and heavenly sunshine is here. Lovers are in the parks stripping their layers of clothes. Although we still have snow piles that won't budge I still put all my plants outside to revitalize.

Re: I'm grateful for...

Something amazing has just happened.... and that's why I'm grateful for...

As you know, I have a friend who has a Arnold-Chiari Malformation, so I created on facebook a group for Geneva area, in case where somebody else would have it too.

My friend posted a nice text about her illness, and I decided to create a blog on the website of the Tribune de Genève, the local newspaper to quote her amazing text.

This morning, I went on that website and saw under the blog selection on the main page, three words I know so well ARNOLD-CHIARI and SYRINGOMYELIE which is the title of my first note on my new blog...

clicking on it and went on the blog pages and I saw that

The text is not that important, but it's just amazing.

Brilliant Bertrand- that you are helping your new friend to reach out to others around her. Your friendship is turning out to be something really special, for both of you. Bravo.

what about the paper version of the same thing ?

with the help of the Tribune de Genève Arnold-Chiari is well placed on google, and if some swiss-french patients were to do this search (which is also why I did it) they will find it quickly.

kind of support group on its way in Romandie and Geneva.... ???

That when my 6yr old had noticed that the toilet was flooding the bathroom this evening, because the 2yr old had yet again shoved a new toilet roll down said toilet, that he had only done wees before flushing...

I'm grateful for...

A year has come and gone and the moments where I thought I would never get through, I got through.
The moments where I was too tired to go on, I gave up, prayed and start again the next day.
The moments where the ugly things upsets me and God is always on my side reminding me just how lucky I am.

To STILL be able to wake up to someone I love and loves me dearly by my side, another day.
To still be able to enjoy our angry+upset+tired+challenging+happy+funny+eventful moments together.
To still have HOPE.

Oh and to finally make my dream come true to raise a puppy. A Pug name Castro.

Thank you for your existence.
You make me that much stronger.

Thank God.

Re: I'm grateful for...

Thank you Fiona, your thoughts of the day have been badly missed on the EF. I for one hope you will after your pause, continue with YOUR thread.
In among all the repeated negative threads. YOUR thread was always different.
Tell us a little more about Castro.

Salut Zämma
