I actually like The Big Bang Theory. I accidentally stumbled upon it one day and then got a bit hooked. I normally can't stand sitcoms (and I agree the laugh tracks are obnoxious), but I do think some of the jokes on that show are funny. Besides, I have a "thing" for geeks.
I think that's my issue with the show. Those are not geeks, they are the absolute opposite of geeks who are ironically/cheaply marketed as "charming intelligent asocials".

LOL!
Hilarious photo!

But damn, I feel like an ass now, sitting here typing this with an open jar of pickles beside me...

Just kidding.

Well, it was never clear to me what exactly defines a "geek." Or how a geek is different from a nerd, for that matter. All I do know is that I'd like to de-virginize Sheldon Cooper.

Re: TV Series discussed

I don't watch too much TV, but there's a few series I appreciate

-Farscape (amazing)
-StarGate (and the spin-offs)
-Doctor Who (this one is hilarious I really like it) and also Torchwood
-Supernatural
-Misfits
-Alphas
-Walking Dead

I saw a few of the Star trek spin-offs but there's just too many....

and perhaps some other I forgot....

Re: TV Series discussed

I like some of those below (Farscape/Supernatural/Walkng Dead). Really enjoying Falling Skies and Big Bang. Watched most of Battlestar Galactica over a few weekends. Haven't seen all of Caprica. Game of Thrones is great. Enjoyed Luck... too bad it got cancelled.
