Reinforced faith in humanity...

I love the human interest stories that get told around the holiday times... I'm such a softie.

I especially love when unprovoked heartwarming things actually happen, no matter what time of year it is but when the two collide, it is almost magical to me.

Nice story. It could only happen in the city of brotherly love

Ah, my hometown. Well, I guess now that they have successfully implemented their healthy eating program (they were once voted the fattest city in the US --- http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...7/ai_59021296/ ) they can go wild by buying each other meals again :

Re: Reinforced faith in humanity...

its amazing how many times we miss the opportunity to repay kindness.....

i was once in hospital following a serious operation , not really too bothered at the outcome which was quite iffy.( severly pissed off domestic situation ) . two gentlemen came into my room and stated they were going to pray for me . i couldnt exactly object as i had tubes in just about every orifice going and some were to say the least uncomfortable .
anyway , they did so and left ...when i was a tad healthier i made inquiries only to find they werent from the hospital chaplaincy , nor were they official visitors. i certainly didnt know them , tho they knew me , or at least of me , but i have since been eternally gratefull and take every chance i get to pass on kindness , least i can do .

there will always be some humanity left somewhere. That's a small sparkle of light that will enlighten us all.
