Did you order the legendary edition ?

I went looking to pre-order it in english, but the only place where they have it in english is softridge and they said they have all their pre-orders filled. More not possible.
Just checked and no. I ordered it a few months ago. Didn't fancy the toys etc.

Re: The X-Box 360 thread

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before but can't find it on the search function.

I have unused mspoints from Ireland. Can I load them up on to an Xbox here? They seem to be a lot more expensive in CH compared to IRL. I have bought points and subscriptions online before from the UK when I was in Ireland. Can I do the same here?

Re: The X-Box 360 thread

So, finally got the English version of Halo:Reach yesterday.
From MediaMarkt in Sihlcity, of all places.
Softridge was sold out...so was Gamestop.
Ctiydisc didn't have the English version.

Anyhow, first impressions :

The game is "hard".
Even on normal difficulty, it is much harder than the usual Halo titles. even harder than ODST.

Visually, the game is stunning. It really pushes the graphics capabilities of the 360 to the limit.

Gameplay is the same as other Halo games.
Controller setup has been changed a bit though.
No more "B" button melee.

The "Assisination" feature is fun, for a while. Until you realize you are completely vulnerable while performing one.

Armor abilities are a nice twist. Got out of more than a few jams using the Armor-lock ability.

Nice new weapons. I especially like the Needle-rifle. The DMR is fine but single-fire mode is kinda lame when facing hordes.

"Forge-World" is awesome. This is one humongous map. I tried to go from one end to the other in a banshee and it took a while.
Forge itself has been modified a lot and is now a lot cooler.

A lot of nice little modifications and tweaks here and there.

Haven't played too much multiplayer yet. Just started on the single player campaign last evening.

If you have not already, I recommend you buy it.

Re: The X-Box 360 thread

I definetely recommend Mafia II,
it is fun to play even the story is sort of short. Some nice details are introduced to player.
Melee attack is awesome )

Re: The X-Box 360 thread

I am a fan of original and offbeat games which are downloadable on xbox live (or psn on ps3).

Those who like originality should downlaod the demo of Limbo. Its very well made, has more atmostphere than most big budget games, and for some reason elicits the emotions quite strongly.

check it out!

Re: The X-Box 360 thread

I just saw this thread and it makes me curious, does Switzerland follow the same standards in gaming like ratings and such as other European countries? I wonder since I'm a big gamer and I'm always curious about the gaming situation in other countries

I would like to download limbo as I found the demo very good. But the idea of paying money for something which is not tangible appals () me. If it was in the shops on a disc I would have bought it already. But paying for a file that can accidently be destroyed or become invalid if the XBOX breaks, no way !

If your xbox breaks and you get a new one, you can download the game again for free. Xbox live keeps a record of your purchases. This is also true for PSN. As i have had replacement xbox 360s and ps3, i can confirm this is true.

So get downloading, its well worth it!!!
