I know one in Huddersfield where I got 2 tattoo's done, and the quality (in terms of not fading etc) was excellent, however the Quality (in terms of artistic talent) maybe not so good.

Have you checked the BME Zine listings?

Definitely don't go to someone who will just give you a basic flash and hasn't got any great talent. Remember this is something that will be on the skin for a lifetime. It is a piece of art - so don't skimp and save on the price, either.

I know the place I got mine done was run by a guy who got all kinds of awards. Would I do it again, 15 years later? I don't think so....but now I'm old

Curiosity got the better of me so I took a look at the site. Wish I hadn't . Some nasty piercing pictures on there that made my eyes water. I'm not going to sleep too well this evening that's for sure.

You guys might think that site is a bit weird, but consider this - by getting a tattoo, you are also modifying your body. Might as well make sure that you get it done well, and not cheezy.

Lob - I had my first one in my late 30s, my second just a couple of years ago and if I had the cash, I"d be going for a full sleeve

I have already 2 tattoos. I've done a other one about two mounth ago but it looked so crap... so i went to a dermatologist to cut it out again. Belive me now i'm carefull.
