Where did you have this earthquake?
Along the Quebec/Ontario Border close to Ottawa. Felt in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and some NY state cities.

Re: The Canada Thread

I'm not from Canada but I love a few Canadian things like Tim Hortons(they are everywhere here in Parkersburg) and the music.

Re: The Canada Thread

This thread has been quiet for a while so....

at the moment I miss the awesome barbecues that we had all summer long with lawn chairs and coolers all over with some great tunes playing and all in the privacy of our own back yard....which we were able to afford over in Canada . We have great bbq's here as well but paying CHF 30 or something for a good steak is just a bit crazy.

Overall, summer in Canada is great and I miss it.

OK....time to move on with my day and enjoy the summer we are having here!

Have a great summer everyone!

Tell me about it...I miss going for bubble tea...walking down Spadina at 3am after having some delicious Dim Sum...or riding down Lakeshore Blvd. at night and seeing the gorgeous skyline.....or having some real Ital food at Eglinton West. *sigh* Just stuck to daydreaming I guess...

Re: The Canada Thread

oh yes- and especially my favorite restaurant in TO- Asian Legend....rt across from the AGO. Amazing authentic Chinese food. Do you know it? Driving down lakeshore is also great- just kind of sad that we couldn't really go swimming in the beautiful lake. Although I did sometimes anyhow .

Today I went to Migros and sat in a camping chair and was shocked to see it had no stubby holder!! I am regretting not bringing mine from good old Canadian Tire.

Have a great weekend!

Re: The Canada Thread

Thought I should add to the list as I am feeling a little home sick today.
I miss the fact that my family was so near.
I miss the multi- culturalism
I miss being able to go for a walk in the bush and being alone! Quite different to here where you bump into 100 people on a walk in the woods rather than a bear
I miss jeans that fit just right.
I miss the flexibility
I miss being able to stop in at friends/family members house without having to schedule it a week in advance!
I miss Never spending a Friday night alone
the list goes on and on.....

What I don't miss are the -25 winter days although I prefer the sunshine to grey, rainy weather...

Re: The Canada Thread

I miss the wild outdoors.
I miss cinnamon buns, root beer, cheezies, and good pizza.
I miss the feeling that I belong.
I miss understanding how things work most of the time.
I miss having that little more space.

Re: The Canada Thread

This time of year, I definitely miss the Ontario Fall. The crisp air, great forest smell, crunch leaves and of course, the colour.
