I have no in depth knowledge about what is a good one and what is a bad one but I need a HD Camcorder on a budget.

No more than CHF 500

I don't need anything crazy fancy, just one to do the job. Main use is as I'm a Web Designer - to create video clips that can be integrated into web games and websites.

Any tip of a good place to go in Switzerland for Camcorders? With a big selection? I'm in the Biel area, willing to travel

if you don't mind the lack of manual controls, i'd recommend the 'budget' miniture cams such as the flip digital and similar offerings from sony/creative/kodak.

the quality is excellent. only downside for me is the lack of audio input on the flip, but an external sound device and a clapper board can fix that

i bought a full HD video camera with 20X optical zoom blah blah but now...

i wish i'd bought a Minio Flip HD - who needs all those bells and whistles for family vids... i don't!

yeah. i had a 'proper' cam. the flip is much better, no messing with tape etc.

i was also tempted to get a 550D for video. that would also be excellent.
