I CAN see investing in those to help keep track of which beer belongs to whom though.

This is particularly important if you have friends who have the habit of using their empties as either an ashtray or a spittoon.

These beer savers aren't for the blokes obviously.
They are for those ladies who enjoy, elegantly and moderately, their non alcoholic beer.

Aha, how about if you need some beer for cooking but don't drink beer yourself?

Then preserve the beers dignity and pour it down the sink. It deserves an honourable death at the very least.

Absolutely - if all beer were lager and if all lager were free, I'd only drink the first halves anyway, chuck the rest and start again. It's all cold and fizzy in the beginning

yeah....150 yeasr ago in the slums of New York (five points etc) there used to be a large barrel on the bar with a tube coming out of it labelled "dregs" or "ends". All the unfinished wine, whiskey and beer got poured into it and alchoholics could have their way with it for a nominal fee. Yum.

Ahh, a mantrap. Cast the rod out with a beer lure attached, reel them in and... unspeakable things are done.
