My two dogs keep staring at me and quickly look away when I notice. What are they up to?

Re: Unusual things you have noticed

Actually, now you come to mention it, I did notice an unusual thing the other day.

I was sitting on the tram, gazing aimlessly out of the window at the passing traffic, when I happened to see an octopus riding a bicycle. It wasn't a very big one, and it had to stretch its tentacles to reach the pedals, but it seemed to be perfectly able to balance and make its way between the cars and trams in perfect safety.

It winked at me as it passed, and waved with a couple of its spare tentacles, but was gone in a flash and I was unable to respond before it had disappeared off towards Hardbrucke.

So that was quite unusual.

Wow, that was unusual. They usually make well considered bicycle purchases so it was weird to see one riding a bike obviously too big for it.

I am seriously thinking of introducing something along the lines of this 'Workhouse' scheme to occupy EFers who have nothing better to do on a wet Sunday lunchtime that post 'odd' replies to Threads like this.

Hmmm...people's clothes are getting a lot more colorful this winter than usually, it's great.

People in gym who put their headphones on while cycling/running/elypting don't hear themselves and make some very strange noises

Re: Unusual things you have noticed

I was very excited to see a nutcracker during my Sunday morning run up a steep mountain. I've never seen one before, as they are quite shy and retiring. Easily distinguished by the white feathers under the tail.

In the Migros and coop cafes (I frequent all the best places) they have canape things like salmon of a bit of bread etc. Why are these things always shiney? What do they paint them with?

Bones and connective tissue that have been soaked in acids and alkali over several weeks. Good for your joints!

Re: Unusual things you have noticed

I think I saw a guy in the middle of a nervous breakdown this morning. First in line at a traffic light, when it turned green he just sat there. Youngish guy, no earphones, seemed totally alert. Car behind started honking, then the car behind him, then several all together. People staring (OK, that shouldn't faze him ), cars pulling around, he just sat there, car running. He made no signals to other drivers that he was having a problem. I didn't stick around till the next green to see what happened.
