In September I'll be starting a new job in Basel. For the meantime, I'll have somewhere temporary - then we'll properly move down from Wiesbaden in a few months.

We've weighted up all of the options and we've decided that it will be best to live on the German side of the border, if only for the first year or two. From what I've seen, it looks like the only real options are Weil am Rhein (which doesn't look that nice - but then i've only gone past it on the train) and Lörrach (which i know nothing about).

Does anyone have any thoughts about these places? Or any other spots on the German side near Basel that are worth considering?
