We're relocating to Zurich from London and would like to know your thoughts on Coles Removals, Crown, and Luker. Which company is the easiest to work with?

We've received price quotes from 10+ companies but these three quoted competitively and have industry accreditation. What we'd like to avoid is hassle, if the move doesn't go right (e.g., damaged goods and the insurance wait, poorly estimated volumes). Our move is out of pocket, and we plan to negotiate price after knowing which company provides the quality service when the client is most vulnerable.

lukka are by far the cheapest . although we have another solution , look at Movecorp on the internet or PM me and i will give you my direct contact there , we had a quote from lukka at 3200 pounds for 24Mtrs ( over estimated on area ) movecorp come back at 1300 and 200 for packing (20 mtrs) , guess who im going with .( but theres a 2week window as they just wait till they fill a lorry )

How did you move go with movecorp a couple of years ago?

We moved with Luker Brothers in September. Regarding the handling of our things they were great as was their price. However we were quite upset with regards to their sticking to dates and times regarding the delivery of our items. The delivery was set for the morning on a Wednesday and was confirmed two days before. However on Tuesday at 4.30pm we received a phonecall and were informed that they’d arrive in one hour. At the time we were nowhere near our new apartment. After a lengthy and very unpleasant phone call we managed to agree the delivery to take place from 7am on the Wednesday. It turned out that the chaps from the van were really grateful that we put up a fight as they already had a very long day. The guys from the van were great and couldn’t have done a better job.

Don't ever use Luker Bros. I just moved from UK to Zurich. I had them pack all the glasses and kitchen items - figured they were experts. Well...everything they packed turned up broken and a lot of the furniture has water damage (they let it sit in the snow while switching between trucks apparently - smart!) and they literally ripped off wood (instead of unscrewing) while taking things apart. Other than my clothes and books which I packed - everything else turned up damaged. Now waiting to see if insurance pay up for replacement. Also bear in mind that I have to pay for all this stuff to be recycled now!

I used Crown from London to CH. They emptied a 3 storey house + loft. They used good quality and new packaging, including a special box for pianos. It took them 2 days to do it (Thu and Fri) and then travelled to Switzerland. I had everything next Tuesday at 8:00am. They took all the boxes, mounted the furniture, etc. The master bed had a scratch and some broken parts. Their insurance sent us the money for an equivalent bed in CH, that was extremely quick and hassle free.

When I requested quotations they did not come the cheapest ones neither the most expensive. Kind of average.

Very professional. I would use them again.
