Textil Recycling

Hi,

I have bags and bags of shoes, clothes, adn handbags that I am getting rid of all in good condition, but I just do not wear these anymore. Ideally, I am looking for a company or charity I can call to come pick all of it up, otherwise, I guess there are places you can drop all this off? I live in the Zurich Seefeld area and am not sure how this process works, so any suggestions or tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Shannon

Re: Textil Recycling

Every month I get a little bag in the letter box asking for clothes donations, I think I read elsewhere on the Forum that this is a common occurence throughout the land. Have a dig through your junk mail it you haven't yet thrown it out. I'm sure they wouldn't mind extra bags.

Re: Textil Recycling

hi Shannon, if any of it is designer goods and in excellent condition, you might try some of the high-end second-hand shops around Seefeld or Hottingerplatz. Otherwise, there are containers where you can pack the clothes in a bag and drop them off. I don't know where the one nearest to you is, but ours is next to the glass recycling bins. Be careful to check what you may and may not put in though: some take shoes and leather goods, some don't.

Here's one that lets you search for container closest to you:
