Hello,
We are looking at a place called Bonstetten in Zurich Canton. Does anyone know if there are good schools there? We have a son that doesn't speak German (but we want to learn) so we are going to put him in the Swiss schools. Does anyone know if Bonstetten offers language classes in their schools?
We are in Seefeld now and they have a great program but I wasn't sure if that is because there are more expats here.

The Frequently Asked Questions sheet of the elementary school doesn't mention language classes. I didn't expect one in a village of 4600 inhabitants either. The FAQ stated that additional coaching is available for pupils with learning problems, maybe this is true also for pupils who are confronted with a language barrier.

I'd contact the school secretariate. Their address is here (assuming that your son isn't older than 12 years).

Bonstetten is close to where I grew up. Quite a few well-off people live there, which will reflect in the standard of the school. There is a direct train link that will be served every quarter of an hour as of December 7th (the stop is called Bonstetten-Wettswil) and it goes through to Stadelhofen, so if you can't find a suitable English class there, it would not be hugely difficult to continue as before.
This is the village's homepage if you want to check out a few more things. All in German though... There are a few expats in the area (such as my mum and some of her friends) but I don't know whether there is a regular meet. I'd have to ask her and I will.

Thank you for your replies. I will try and call the school today, but I'm thinking since they are on holiday I might not get anyone.
