| Hi all,
Does anyone know if our regie is responsible for the plumbing in our apartment? We removed all the pipes that we could from the kitchen sink, but the blockage was farther down. We spoke to the regie who sent their plumber, but we were told that "rental regulations" state that we were responsible for plumbing that does not affect the "main pipe."
Just curious if someone is more knowledge on this than me.
Thanks,

I think if it's a pipe failure (i.e. a crack or break or similar) the landlord is responsible for getting it fixed and picking up the bill but if it's a blockage you'll have to pay. We avoid putting anything down our sink which isn't liquid or is oily or fatty for that very reason.
