Hi,

Does anybody know if there is any regulatory body exist in switzerland, where I can lodge a complaint about a housing agency. From last one month, I am asking my housing agency to give me a certificate, which will allow my wife to live with me, but unfortunately, they are delaying it every time.

It will be great, if somebody can tell me about some body, which are above all these housing agencies.

I am confused. I don't understand why you need a certificate from the agency. If your wife has the legal right to live in Switzerland, this is tied to living with you.

There must be something here you are not telling us.

If when someone was single they rented an apartment in their own name,when they marry they need to advise the agency of a change in circumstances. The agency may decide to add the spouse's name to the rental contract and have them sign the lease as well.

I'm confused too...normally the commune does the footwork of asking the agency to confirm that the apartment is large enough for two people. I don't understand why you have to get the agency to provide the certificate. Every time I have moved, this work has been done by the commune directly.

Typically,for a family reunion visa, the commune / cantonal migration office wants to know your house size (number of rooms / floor area)
This is stated in the contract you signed for the house, and providing a copy to the canton should do it. If the house is considered too small for two adults by the canton then the agency cannot help you.
