Lookign for a shop/Salon/studio with accommodation attached

Hi there - not sure this is the right forum for my quesiton but based on the message "Basically anything housing-related that isn't an advert" then I'll have a go!

Does anyone know if it is possible to rent a shop/commercial premises which has accommodation included i.e. like you can in the UK? The property search engines I use don't allow you to search for both at the same time so I am guessing its just not done over here. Basically a shop or salon premises (for manicure) with a flat or rooms attached is what I need in the Lausanne/Vevey area.

I scanned the net for other options but have drawn a blank so far. Are estate agents the best option?

Your best option is to evaluate each offering individually: call and ask what is available.
I've heard that most (intelligent) people who open restaurants here try to rent the basement, too, and sleep there. As they work 16+ hours, they don't really need a living room. Just a bed and a shower....
