Good moving company in Zurich - onTime

I have just completed a move from Zurich to Basel (some of you recently gave me good advice with regards to blocking off parking) and would like to recommend the moving company who helped me.

They are called onTime and I cannot speak highly enough of them.

They proved to be friendly, understanding and pretty damn flexible when it came down to brass tacks on moving day. The fellow in charge (James) is an english speaker and a genuinely nice guy. Like him, his team was professional and hard-working, and they took very good care of our belongings.

Half-way through packing the trucks I remembered that I had a cellar and that it was full of stuff which needed to go. No problem for them, everything down there was assessed, sorted, packaged appropriately and placed into the truck without fuss.

These guys turned a potential stress-fest (which was our experience with the previous move) into a quite satisfying experience. The final cost was very close to the original quote too.

Am I happy? Why yes, yes I am.

Thanks for the suggestion, we will also move very soon and still looking for a moving company. Did you have to book them much in advance?

No, we called them about a week before. James came around the same day that I called to give us a quote. We then spent a few days comparing with other companies before choosing what onTime had to offer. James said it does get extremely busy around the more "normal" moving dates, so I wouldn't leave it too late.

Thanks, I have to hurry then, only two weeks missing and still a lot to organize (this is not very "swiss")!

Re: Good moving company in Zurich - onTime

thaks for the reco.we are moving and was looking for some ones reco.

this is one time where u want to reduce stress as much as possible.we have been comparing diff moving companies (basically rates) but not very sure if that a good criteria to make a decision.best is some else recommending an agency and then i dont mind even abit extra...moving house is stressful as it is.so one less thing to worry about if you can get a good moving company

We moved with Kuoni Transport Zürich. Small company but very professional and one of the cheapest too.

The salesperson Sabrina new exactly what she was talking about, came and did a quote and ordered all the packing materials what we needed. At the end her quote was spot on. No hidden extras like last time.

She also spoke perfect English
