We are (finally!) getting around to doing the façade, which means not only new shutters but also a new door. So, does anyone have any experience or helpful hints about front doors – aluminium vs. steel vs. wood? Plastic is not an option – our neighbours put one in and have had quite a bit of trouble (and it is ugly). Problems, lack of problems, things to consider – any input would be helpful.
