I have a friend who has been looking for an affordable 1.5 bdrm appartment (max. 1'200 CHF) for 3 (!) months now without success.

What are the tricks to get one? When coming to Zurich I applied for one and got it straight away, but I guess I was lucky.

Any suggestions? Tricks? Leads? Would be greatly appreciated!
