Hello all

Am about to sign a contract for an apartment in Binz (Maur) and was wondering if the airplane noise is bad there and if so how bad and at what times. Am looking at a place in Weidstrasse. Any local knowledge would be gratefully received. Also any general info on what it's like to live there.

We used to live in Zumikon - so not too far from Binz - and the only time we heard the planes were when they would come in to land on Saturday morning. You first start hearing them at about 6 am and then I rememberit stopping by 9 am.

That said, we really only heard them now and then - you get used to the noise really quickly and soon it just becomes background noise. Plus your windows will block a lot of it.
