Hi, it was recommended to me to post an ad in a Swiss-German newspaper or online indicating that I am looking for a house. Has anyone had any experiences with this to share with me? Thanks!

German - if you live in Geneva?

Most areas/towns have a local free paper. Our local one, Le Courrier Neuchatelois is excellent for accommodation and houses, etc. Ask your neighbours and colleagues, they should know. Or ask here, giving the area you are looking in.

The two local rags for housing in Geneva are GHI and Tout Immoblier, in which you pay to insert your advert. A free website advert at anibis.ch could also be of interest.

I have no idea what you mean by "in German"? in the german language, for a house in Germany, for a house in the german part of CH?

If you want the advert to be in german language, I believe that would be possible in the two noted above, as I've seen english language ads in these french language papers quite often. As for Anibis, I believe it is possible as well.

According to her other posts they are moving from GVA to Zurich.
