Hello everyone!

My wife and I are dreaming about having a small apartment in southern CH, perhaps in Valais for vacation and eventually retirement.

Question is, how feasible would getting one be, assuming we saved up for something small. What taxes, fees or other logistics would be envolved, other than the advertised price of an apartment?

Also I'm a EU citizen, but my wife is not - would she be able to get a unrestricted work permit to work in CH?

We are still in the dreaming phase and are also looking into Bavaria/BW and Sudtirol, if anyone has knowledge about getting a small place in those locations that would be great!
