Would really appreciate your input/advise. We are trying to decide whether it is worth bringing our kitchen appliances (refrigerator, oven, stove top, dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave) to Zurich. We have been searching the homegate website and noticed that apartments are fitted with some of these, but not sure if that is always the case. Advise would be greatly appreciated! Look forward to your replies.

This is relevant for unfurnished apartments. I don't know about houses.

I did have built in microwaves in my last 2 apartments, but they were the simplest of models.

I moved from 78100 to Switzerland - I would recommend, to sell your fridge, oven, stove and dishwasher before you leave, as well as the washer and drier.

Your Swiss place in Zurich will have a stove, oven and fridge. And if there is a spot for a dishwasher it will be installed, if there is no space you can't use your old one anyway. I've never seen an place here that had a place for a dishwasher but no dishwasher installed.

Regards washer and dryer, most places either have them installed, or do not have space for them in the residence. I sold my washing machine here in Switzerland. It is highly unlikely that you will find a place that does not have them installed in the residence AND has a place to put yours. Similar to the dishwasher, if there is space, they are probalby already there. If you can, wait to sell until you know your new place or sell them before you leave France.

I suspect you will get a better price in France than here in CH.

For a microwave, it's a toss up, you may have one installed, but many places do not and then you can use it. If you don't know your new place, then I would recommend to take it with you.
