We are planning to rent our home in Geneva, and were considering to use Better Homes agency. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of this agency, and if you'd recommend them?

We have been trying to buy a house and every time we see that agency we groan. They only publish one picture and won't send a floor plan before you visit the house. WTF? We know what we want and if the floor plan isn't what we are looking for I don't need to traipse through Aargau wasting my time.

Of course they may be better in Geneva, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

They seem to be new kids on the block as I've only recently seen adverts for them on sites like Immostreet and Homegate. I've no experience with them, but depending on where they're based maybe a more local agent who knows the Geneva rental market would be better.

I know somebody who works for Betterhomes, who successfuly sells and rents property. The company handles property (renting and selling) in the Geneva area, and all other areas of Switzerland and Lichenstein. Betterhomes asks for a commission rate of 2/2.5%, whereas most other property companies ask for a minimum of 3%. Multiple photos of available property can be displayed on property details if required.

And there may be a reason for that...ie they are useless.
That is our experience with them but I realise other people may feel differently.

Thanks for your input and advice. From my experience of estate agents in this area, receiving very limited info in advance is the norm, but I'll definitely make clear that I want them to show enough photos of our house to interest potential tenants!
