I'm looking for advice on the best way to promote a ski chalet rental in Switzerland. It is fully catered and in a great family area, Les Collons.

You might also want to join snowheads.com which is a lively ski forum. Don't jump straight into to pushing your chalet or people will assume you're advertising (whether you are or not) but there is a wealth of knowledge on there

When I need to hire a chalet or flat in the alps, I ask first by the tourist office, of the region where I would like to stay.
The office in Thyon was always for me, a good contact adress.

There are lots of directories you should check out. We use quite a few.

Just do a few google searches for ski chalets and most directories appear on the first page. Most charge an annual fee (£50 - £80 we tend to pay). There are some free sites Slope Seeker is one we found but I don't know how many resorts it covers.

Snowheads is definitely worth joining as people often ask for accommodation recommendations / quotes.

There is probably a tourist office that covers that ski resort. You should contact them as they will probably have a listing service and/or website.

You can advertise on http://www.anibis.ch/fr/default.aspx

It is free (but you need to keep renewing it every two weeks), You can pay for placement if you wish. You should advertise in FR and EN.

You might consider getting a "dot ch" website name (that partially uses the ski resort name and adds the word chalet). You can put up a simple Wordpress page with photos and details (once again FR and EN).

You website might come up in searches and you can also send interested people there to see the chalet.
