Hi all

We are planning to move to Baden and were looking for feedback on localities in Baden.

We are looking at apartments in Dattwil and Kappelerhof areas of Baden. Kindly feedback how there areas are for living. What is good and what is bad. Esp how are the schools in these areas ?

Good weekend and thanks for the feedback.

Re: Where to live in Baden ?

I'm afraid that I can't help you personally with the question about schools, but this may be of some help..

http://www.schule-baden.ch/index.php?id=23

We lived near the Kantonsspital in Dattwil for some years and liked the area very much.
It is relatively quiet, handy for buses into Baden, close to woodland and farmland.
There is a local Spar and some other small shops, a hairdresser, chemist etc. For bigger shopping you would need to go into Baden.

Good luck!

Re: Where to live in Baden ?

Schule Kappelerhof is a relatively small school with kids from many different nations. The teachers have lots of experience with integration, they are open, helpful and dedicated. There are only a few swiss kids in every class, but that doesn't seem to be a problem.

Re: Where to live in Baden ?

My personal opinion is that there are villages outside of Baden where many foreigners have settled not only as tenants but homeowners as well and are very happy. One main reason is these offer more reasonable housing. The one disadvantage for some is they are outside of the local bus system (RVBW) and require a post bus to travel to Baden.
