Paint for the walls?

I have truly searched the forum and found nothing. I am so bored with the colour of our flat (white) that I have decided to bring a touch of excitement to our lives. I would like to paint just part of a wall (where it joins another, so approx 30cm wide) in either aubergine or sage. I just wondered if it was possible to buy coloured paint in Switzerland (Zug in particular) anywhere. It would take no longer than about an hour and be a lovely surprise for my man and girl when they come back from their travels. Assuming I can buy it that is. I could then take on the task of painting just one of the walls in her bedroom.
Thanks in advance

Hi Zug

Jumbo sell colour emulsion paint and our local one has an "Architects" range of "cool designer" colours. Sure you'll find something

Gosh, that was quick.I don't think we have a jumbo, only COOP bau and hobby and the Migros DIY outlet. Maybe I'll try those tomorrow, I"ve got to go to Cham to dump some rugs at the brocki (unless anyone wants them -see free stuff for more details)

Re: Paint for the walls?

If you are renting, you will have to paint it white again before you leave - or pay someone to do it...

Re: Paint for the walls?

All the Coop and Migros Baumarkt have all types of paint. The selection of colored wall paint is quite limited though. I think you can buy small packs of color though that you mix with white to get the color you want. In any case, get hold of a shop attendant (good luck with that one!) and tell them what you want so that you get the right stuff.

And as others have mentioned, you'll have to repaint back to the original color before you leave if you're renting.

Re: Paint for the walls?

I think we have to paint the whole flat anyway, so two 30cm wide strips are hardly going to tax us. I'll give it a go today, but TBH, I am not so keen on the idea of mixing my own paint. If I do too little I'd have to then mix another batch and I can see it all going tits up. Maybe we'll just stick with our sugar cube like flat for now

There is also Swiss Lack (Riedstrasse 13, 6330 Cham/ZG
041 740 15 60) It's between Aldi and Zugerland on the left just after the car dealer. They have color wheels to choose from and will mix it for you.

/my other half is a painter

We just bought some huge wall prints (big framed posters) which have brightened the place up no end. There's a good selection really close to the Stadelhofen trainstation in Zürich (direct on the S9 from Zug). We didn't want to go down the road of painting walls. Seemed a bit racy for our landlord.

Hi there,
I recently bought an appartment in Saint-Sulpice and need to decorate it. I am looking for good value places to buy wallpaper and paint, can anyone point me in the right direction please.
