Sourcing Kaba or Keso keys

I want to replace the barrels in my home locks. I want 3 barrels and 8 keys.

Anyone have any experience of Kaba or Keso systems and ordering directly from them? Or know a place who will supply such a configuration as-is - I don't need fitting when all it takes are 5 screws plus a grub screw and 10 minutes per door

1 hour 36 minutes and no replies?

Not even to suggest I can't change my locks?

Disgusted of EF, signing off for now

It might be helpful to say what part of CH you are in.

In the Swiss Romand area you would go into a specialized shop and get what you need.

I'm presently in the best region....! Italian-speaking part.

Looks like I need to visit a local reseller and blind them with my Italian skillz!

Edit: Tom, Galli it will likely be

They are pretty standard, but the lengths vary, you may need to take your old ones (or at least measure them).

Re: Sourcing Kaba or Keso keys

S C Here is an internet site where I oder my hardware.
http://shop.opo.ch/ishop/app?compone...62.603.1-663.7

Here you have the 3 typs of Kaba Zylinder locks and what they cost.
To oder it is like Tom says, you must have the distance on both sides of the zylinder. They could be of different mesures.
Hope this helps.

Salut Zmma

Re: Sourcing Kaba or Keso keys

Thanks - I actually have two different sizes but 32.5mm each side would fit both my doors and my gate perfectly.

I'll pop down to Galli today, I have the serial numbers from my existing locks plus pictures.....

Re: Sourcing Kaba or Keso keys

468 francs and 15 minutes later and I have 8 new Keso keys and three cylinders installed.

The guys at Galli were clear that I wanted Keso due to the fact that you can drive 20 minutes and get a Kaba key cut in Italy. I guess Keso is keeping their stock of blanks to authorised places only.

And I arrived 2 minutes before they close for lunch and the chap was a fellow biker on a nice black Kwak.
