Hello,

I finally made it safe and sound to Zurich and am extremely excited to get familiar with the surroundings.

I am facing difficulty at the moment finding a place to live as I'm sure most of you have experienced already and maybe could give a point or two of advice.

My situation is this:
I relocated with my company and am staying at a shared serviced apartment with my colleague for the next 3 weeks. I need to find a place by May 1st as my Fiance will be joining me then. She has found a Job in Erlenbach and I would like to find a rental flat close to her work. I work near Alt Wiedikon on Gruben Strasse and a long commute for me is ok.

First Question:
Does anybody know of available apartments near Erlenbach?

Second Question:
Is it possible to take a ferry across the lake from Erlenbach (instead of a train around) and bike to Alt Wiedekon area from there? Far? Expensive?

I'm very new so pardon the naive questions....

Here is the timetable for the ferry. It does stop at Erlenbach.

I think a bonuskarte of sorts which includes trains, trams and ferries is the ticket. You might find trains more convenient.
