It's not an easy task. A search for "short term" in the "Housing in General" forum resulted in a few interesting threads though, among them: HELP! Need temporary accommodation from tomorrow night Accomodation
The specific points aside, the general hints for appartment searches are still valid: Extend your search as much as possible, start with the Adverts for Homes section on EF... Good luck!

Finding a place for the exact dates is difficult. After you actually find a place it isnt very complicated.

My point is why it is so complicated and difficulty to find a short-term apartment, dizzy dizzy dizzy.
What shall I do then, if it is still no availble place to stay? living on street? ;(

Ask your employer if they can arrange a temporary place for you to stay until you find something definitive.
In fact you can find furnished appartments or rooms to be rented by month, but they are usually expensive and also you'd have to be lucky to get one free for the exact period you need it.
Also there are hotels that would rent you a room per month for a reduced price, lower than the normal day rate.
Most big companies have rooms or appartments for temporary stay avaliable for their employes, customers or project members.
Ask them first.

That is what ALSTOM promised, but so far, the internal aprtment is not available, and I still have no information from them, so I become very restless now.
Don't want to live in the hotel finally!!!

To be honest , it's your problem to solve and we can but point you to possible solutions.
I stayed in an IBIS hotel for three months in Zürich, which is obviously expensive, but its something. You could try and find someone to sublet or share with you for that long.
As SL has said, your employer should assist you to find something.

Search at homegate.ch for example
there is one furnished room near Baden avaliable from 07.07.08, rented by month http://www.homegate.ch/homegate/en/r...ault&a=default
Ask your company contact if he can negotiate it directly and get it for you.

Zürich to Baden is around 30minutes commute by train.

Do another search on that site to get an idea of prices. It has an english search engine.
Have in mind that to find a flat in Zürich is a difficult thing.
It took me 4 months and I was living on a furnished appartment provided by the company and I was incredibly lucky.
Also your commute will be longer if you live far from the train stations or highways.
If you are young and single, you'd be better on the city. Baden is small and most people from Argau come to Zurich for social life.
Again.. Talk to your company, explain you have this problems. they will find something.
and be prepared to have to pay an expensive price for a hotel or temporary appartment the first months.

So if company promised me to find me something, and they also said even the worse comes, they will settle me in hotel room for a few months, but if this is mean hotel will be paid by company? Or I should pay byself?

It depends on your company policies.
Here at my company, they made me pay for everything. moving, furnished flat ( that belongs to them ), parking place, cellar where I put my things during the months I was searching for my flat etc.

If you are really struggling to find a place you can always try http://www.wgzimmer.ch/
My boyfriend found a share on there when he first came over from 5 months. If money is also an issue then it might be better to start there. You can change the language to english, but you might find the ads are only in german. In which case I suggest you copy and paste it into a translator (and not EF!!)
