Can someone recommend a decent hotel/guest house/ b&b near Pfaffikon SZ? I've contact the Seedamm Plaza but they are booked for the first week that I need. I am basically after a room for a few weeks while I look for a home for my family. I am moving here on 15th September 2008.

Somewhere close by would be fine like Rapperswil or Waedenswil.

Or if you have a room or know someone that doesn't mind a short term let...

Not much B and B in this region but this site might help. A Youth Hostel in at a lovely situation down by the lake in Richterswil might have rooms available. It is very near the railway station and, as you can see from the site, rents rooms. Being after the main season, you might be lucky. You might like to try there until you find something else.
