Hi everybody.

I am thinking about moving to France (work in Geneva) and would like to ask - is it as difficult to find an apartment in nearby French towns as it is in Geneva?
I am thinking about Ferney Voltaire as it is close and convenient for me to get to work (bus F).
What are other French towns/village you can recommend? What are availability and prices for apartments there?

It should be easier to find a flat in France, but Ferney is quite popular, so I don't know. Check with local real estate agents, they have loads of ads everywhere, even in large supermarkets in France.

Ferney and Gex are convenient because of the F bus, but if you have a car then probably the best place on that side of the lake is Divonne-les-bains. You can also conveniently live in Versonnex and take bus Z to Geneva.

Problem with Ferney-Voltaire is that it is just beside the airport

I agree, but the proximity of the airport is not such an issue there as in some parts of Geneva (Vernier, Genthod, Meyrin). Ferney is not the prettiest French village around but it offers other conveniences that others don't.
