You wouldn't happen to have that list, or a link to it, would you?
I am a member of the HEV Kanton Aargau and I purchased the list from them as I needed it for my work.

No, that is NOT what happens. If it needs to be replaced, the owner must pay for it.
Ahh, so it's only if I chimp it up, then I cough up for it. Which is fair enough.

Were the service stickers there before you moved in or are they from service you had carried out? It is always a good idea to keep a record of all service calls and maintenance on any appliances that belong to the owner. If all the appliances are out of warranty and a service contract no longer exists on them, this is particularly important.
The stickers were already there (which is interesting as the landlord told me it was new,..) but we haven't had anyone round to have a look at it in the two and a bit years we've been here.

Crikey. It's getting rather nervous here. I've got them coming round at ten tomorrow to hand the place over and the list of stuff to do isn't getting any shorter. Doesn't help being a Sunday as I can't hoover or take out the recycling. Gah. Just annoys me that I have to put so much work into getting the window areas clean when they're going to knock them out after I go, but I don't want to give them the excuse to hold back on the deposit.

Managed to put it off for a day, thankfully, as it was almost, but not quite there.

Re: tips when leaving an apartment?

Had the apartment inspection this morning. After eight days of scrubbing with toothbrushes, anti-kalk and mixtures of cleaning sprays that could stip the tusks off of an elephant (let alone probably giving off chlorine gas), the place was as ready as I could get it. It was cleaner than before we'd moved in.
However, I was not going to leave everything on purely the landlord's whim, so I might have headed him off with a bottle of wine as a thank-you for putting the inspection off a couple of days.
The inspection lasted twenty minutes, of which fifteen were form-filling. Not a single problem (apart from those I had told him about in advance). Didn't even pick up on one thing. 90% of me was chuffed to bits. 10% was screaming "dammit, run a finger round the inside of the oven, or something!".
Whew!

Re: tips when leaving an apartment?

Right. Scrub that, I'm annoyed now. The people who were moving in have delayed by two weeks and although the landlord says he tried to get me out of paying for those two weeks, he's been told that he has to charge me for it under law. FFS. Apparently, he had discussed this with the secretary at work on Monday, but decided not to tell me this morning when I saw him.
Not pleased.
