This may be somewhat of a Swiss question, but now I've lived here for two years I feel qualified to ask!
I am interested in buying a flat in Romanel-sur-Lausanne which is a converted farmhouse/barn. One of the 'features' of this flat is that the bathroom is accessed by a door opening out of the kitchen. This means that you walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, and the two are next door to each other.
Personally I don't think this is a big deal, however I learnt that this would actually be illegal in the UK due to the transmission of bugs between the two.
Does anyone know whether this is also illegal in Switzerland? My concern is that I buy the flat only to have problems selling in the future.... or have to do something crazy like move the bathroom.
Of course, perhaps Swiss bathrooms are so clean there is no problem with bugs going into the kitchen
Thanks
