| Hi - we just moved in our apartment rental in a nice building built 2006. We are already freaking out because the floorboard is so cheap and thin that it is scratched all over from the move and just walking on it, frankly (even in slippers). I guess we will have to replace it when we get out. It is bothreing me already now every time I look at it I'd like to get an idea of the cost involved even if it is way in the future (weird but true).
I kinda hope that this is some kind of floorboard that you just roll in and cut/glue to size (like rolls of lawns back home in the US), it is so cheap-looking. It does not look like separate planks, more like wallpaper in ersatz-wood with this plastic-like shine. I am sure you know what I am talking about.
Can anybody point me at good DIY online place/site where I can quickly estimate what it will cost me in one or five years when I move out. I hope i can do this myself rather than bringing in the Spez @120CHF/hour.
Thank you, | |

If is scratches that easily, it is obviously cheap, so if it was cheap to install, it will be cheap to replace. Owners cannot replace crap with caviar and your insurance company will be perfectly aware of this. (You have caused damage to a third parties property and you should be covered for this under civil responsibility household insurance)
