After both parties, seller and buyer of the apartment, have signed a 'Vent a Terme', similar in many ways to Exchange of Contracts in the UK, how many days elapse before the final monies have to be paid by the buyer and keys handed over? Is it 30 days maximum and no minmum?

I haven't had an answer as yet, but I have experienced a problem through not knowing. I was asked to sign the Vente a Terme on a Friday which stated that the final monies were due on the next Tuesday, including the mortgage. At that point I hadn't even signed the Mortgage Agreement!

I refused and was then pushed to accept a date 21 days later. No explanation was forthcoming as to why I was not given this information earlier despite pleading for it.
