We live about 45 minutes from Geneva (I worked there for 2 years and the commute is no problem-- especially having come from the San Francisco Bay ARea), and we would like to go back to the states for a year.
We have a large beautifully renovated farm in a ski resort, and we would like to rent it out for the year we are away; But I am not sure where to post it or list it?
Do you know of an excellent Geneva real estate or rental agency?
Especially ones that specialize in high-end properties?
Or the perfect website to post it so that those moving to Geneva might see it?
We would also like to sell the house, but in this market, it is almost not possible. Please send your feedback on rental or sale of our magnificent farm-- and if you might be interested, I can send you details and photos of our place;

how about posting it on www.homegate.ch or www.immoscout24.ch ?

you can also post the advert in this forum. there are quite few rich people here on 200k+ salaries!

As per BasP's advice, I'd list it on Homegate - it's a very comprehensive website, and multilingual. Would suggest you list it in various languages, including English - a one year lease could be perfect for an expat with a temporary contract.

How much to sell / rent?

I have noticed that Engel & Völkers have become quite an important player in the Swiss high-end property market over the last few years, they might be worth a try. I have no personal experience with them though.

They have offices in Geneva and Montreux.

It is on the market with several real estate agencies for 990,000€, and if we dont sell it, we would like to rent it for around 2800€ a month for a year, more or less..

It may be worth contacting a Relocation Agent (or 2) - we really struggled to find suitable rental accomodation.

Network Relocation & Primacy were the ones we dealt with (we were looking in & around Schaffhausen), it may be worth contacting a couple of the big international companies around Geneva & asking for their relocation agents numbers. Hope this helps.
