Crown Relocations [Poor experience]

Hello,

I just wanted to advise everyone to NOT use Crown Relocations for the shipping of your housing goods to/from Switzerland. I moved from LA mid-December and my stuff has not yet arrived by the end of February. I was lied to at time of shipment, as the movers over-packed my container, costing me an additional USD 3K. Then, the forgot to ship the container for 2 weeks until mid-January. They then lied about what boat it was put on and the arrival date to Antwerp. And....it has been sitting in Antwerp for a whole week, but they will not rush pick it up.

I know the shipping industry has its...lets say interesting way of doing things, but this is horrible.

Mike

Re: DO NOT Use Crown Relocations

Poor you Mike! Well I used Crown relocations and they were pretty good, but you had to be persistent on getting a moving date and packing date and then a delivery date.
I even got the people sent 4 hours earlier for delivery of my second shipment, thank God I was there since it was a working day!

What annoyed me is that they broke some stuff and they did not replace it.

Re: DO NOT Use Crown Relocations

Sorry to hear about your frustrations Mike, but I used Crown for my shipments from Asia. If not the cheapest, they were the best, politest and most efficient shippers I've ever used- and I've used a few in my time. Their standard of packing was unbelievable - I had no breakages at all. Unfortunately when things go wrong it can be a nightmare. There's no excuse for stringing you along, given how much you pay them. Good luck. I hope you get your stuff soon.

Really? They did break some of my stuffs. And those idiots back home used my patterns and drawings to wrap my stuff in the box.

I send them a bill of everything they broke and for every single patterns and drawing they used. (it was hours and hours of hard work!)

They paid me back without a question. Sadly, it doesn't replace my stuff I bought in my travels.

Re: Crown Relocations [Poor experience]

I have to say we used Crown to move from Frankfurt and they were excellent.

The office was very helpful and communicative and the actual guys themselves did a really good job packing everything and rebuilding our furniture this end.

I guess like most things it is the luck of the draw, sorry you had such a bad experience

Re: Crown Relocations [Poor experience]

I used them..they were fast and I have everything packed (I had no furniture though) in a couple of hours, which was great, but when I got the boxes and I opened them..that was a mess. Books got mixed up with clothes and clothes with glass and so one. One thing was written on the box and it was a surprise each time when I opened a new one. It was fun
They broke two things but being inssured I got some money back. Well, it wasn;t that bad afterall..

Re: Crown Relocations [Poor experience]

They work with differents compagnies around the world.

The one we had in Istanbul was hired from Crown and they were perfect! We were very impressed. But the compagny who did messed up was in Canada. After my complain, Crown Relocations was very ashamed and admited it was the first time they worked with them.
