| What to do when a neighbour complains?
We have two new twins and a three year old daughter have lived in our apartment for eighteen months with no issue. Then suddenly yesterday we get a text message sent to our land line (our number is not listed so interested where he got it from) saying "I'm glad your ****ing kid is calm, we would like our calm too - your neighbours". We thought this was a wind up so tried to call the number which left the message no response. Then we get a second SMS saying "Becareful". Now we are thinking of legal action and getting the police involved, I call Swisscom and get the message service switched off as it's spooking my wife who will be alone this week with the kids. Then we get another call this time telling us to check our post, I go down and sure enough someone has complaining saying we are making a lot of noise - quite strange as generally we don't. I can only think my daughter running around in the apartment is bugging them. It seems the person down stairs has written to our letting agent to complain without even warning us - I have heard the locals can do this at times. Anyway my wife is fuming as she has complained about them smoking so we cannot have the windows open etc to me many times but never once have we had an issue. So I decide to go down stairs and discuss friendly but even though I know they are in there is no answer.
Now as I travel this week I am reluctant to leave my wife alone with this the way this guy is acting, can someone advise if we can/should call the police about the messages and b) if we have anything to worry about with him writing to our letting agent?
