Looking for options to pack/move furniture...

Hello,

I am looking to vacate my current apartment this month end or sometime in early August. This is the first time I am moving in Zurich and would appreciate any information on how to get this done in a quick and cost effective way!

I have gone through few sites (from this forum /Google searches) - unfortunately a lot of the content is in German. Of course, a reference from someone who has had a positive experience would definitely be of immense value.

Besides, any figures on how much it would cost vis-a-vis trying to dispose off furniture would help me decide on what to do next.

Regards,
Vishal

Rent a van in mobility.ch, you can rent it by hours and you have it in the SBB stations. I did it two weeks ago for CHF 150. 8-9 Hours.

I don't have a Swiss driving license - but is there a place (similar to a labour market/office) where I can hire helping hands on say - an hourly basis or so, to load/unload the heavy stuff?

I used Dilara to move a few weeks ago , 165 chuffs an hour for 3 men and the lorry, took about 7 hours for a 3 room apartment, I did the packing myself. They also did an excellent job on the cleaning for 800 chuffs ....and to follow up Papa Goose from the forum did all the lighting and DIY stuff for me in the new place
