Any insurance for skis?

Hi there

We just bought a couple of very good, nice and expensive skis and I would like to know if there is any kind of insurance out there in the market which could cover them in case they get broken, or get damaged by a small accident.

I have a friend who recently also bought their own skies and a beginner bumped into him, damaging a little his skies. Id like to cover that up if possible

any hints?

Re: Any insurance for skis?

Usually you get a year's free insurance with new skis - this is to try and get you to pay for the insurance in subsequent years...

Nobody will cover you for this damage at a reasonalbe premium, it's just one of those things that happen when yopu ski, what's to say you didn't cross your skis and scratched them yourself.... As for insurance against theft, this works but you have to prove you took reasonable care and attention when you left them by the restaurant door......not always so easy.
