life insurance and 3rd pillar

Hello,
I am in the process of trying to sort the two out. However, does anyone know of a company that offers contracts or information in English in CH?? I know we are in Switzerland and it's the 3 main languages, but i would just not be comfortable trying in french even with a financial advisor and then 30 years down the line coming with a problem because of translation issues/understandings.
Anyone can offer what they have done and which package they have chosen. So far 3A pillar along with life insurance for around 6k a year seems too good to be true, are there any hidden problems? Also the problem i have is one day I will leave, but I don't know when and I don't want problems cashing in the pillars or losing on the life insurance and having to set up a whole new system again. Preferbly stay with one good company and is there any incentive to bundle it all up?
advice please! i'm not financially savvy at all!

On what basis do you say it seems too good to be true ? Sure, in any 3a investment there is a tax advantage (depending on your current taxation rate). But as an investment, on what basis do you think it seems too good to be true ? Do you have a detailed proposal from an insurance company which identifies how much of your capital 'pays' for the insurance, what that insurance might be worth to you and what the likely or guaranteed investment return would be ? Only then could you make that assessment. I looked quickly on the Post Finance site, and although they talk about tax advantages and insurance *cover* there was no mention that I could see quickly about the cost of insurance or efficiency/returns of the investment.

As mentioned on another thread, insurance related policies tend to have cash-in penalties in the early years, so you could find yourself actually losing some of your investment (ie get less back than you paid in) if you have to withdraw early.

Re: life insurance and 3rd pillar

You can deduct a maximum 6583CHF/year on a 3A Pilar. The 3 Pilar can be a "health insurance" if you do it on an Insurance company (and not in a Bank), however the 3 Pilar was created to protect families and prepare your retirement.
Before you do it, check if the contract has a capital at the end.
With this amount you will received back from the tax office around 2500CHF depending of your income and residence.
If you want more info please send a pm. I am happy to help you.

Regards,

Roberto
